PCS preparation journey can be divided into 3 different stages:-
1)Conventional & Conceptual
2)Contemporary & Current
3)Contextual: - Punjab State Specific.
The first stage of building conceptual clarity is dependent on reading NCERT books for ias of different subjects (Economy, History, Polity & Geography). This stage requires getting in touch with the basics & making the foundation very strong. S.N.M. through its foundational course very well takes care of this fact that the aspirants’ basics should be in place. That’s why; there are regular NCERT testes of different subjects conducted in S.N.M.
The second stage of preparing current affairs requires through newspaper reading. S.N.M. prepares the candidates’ current perspective through a thorough Newspaper Analysis Session of 45 mins. everyday. Afterwards, there are regular The Hindu Test Series conducted by S.N.M.. For certain important contemporary issues, there are special workshops of current Affairs conducted on weekends.
Now, the third stage requires a thorough understanding of Punjab as a state. In S.N.M., Special classes are held for preparation of Punjab Economy, Geography, its art & culture. Simultaneously, all the current topics related to Punjab State are discussed as well as all the updated material is provided.
